Last month during my trip to Toronto with Wake2Wake, photographer Alija Bos was on hand to capture some of the winching madness. Check these bawss (no pun intended) shots of Yan Lecomte and Braden Ioi hitting the humber river spillway!

Wake2wake - D'une vague à l'autre - Saison 2012 Épisode 1 from WOLFPACK on Vimeo.
Raphael Derome makes his comeback to professional competition after a near career ending injury to his elbow that kept him on the sidelines for almost all of 2011. In this first episode of Wake to Wake, we follow Raph as he prepares himself for the upcoming season. We go inside the weight room, travel to his home cable at WOW Plaza in St-Zotique, and then we’re off to Germany for Wake the Line, one of the biggest contests on the professional circuit."

The second stop of the Wake Dans Rue urban wakeboard series is going down tomorrow in Sherbrooke, QC! Myself, Craig McCallion (Half Cab Productions), Kelsey Chiappa, and Charles Sirois will be making the trip from Ottawa with Charlie's van.
Regardless of the contest outcome, we are in for a sick weekend of riding, partying, camping, and more riding. On our way back from Sherbrooke we will be stopping in at the Derome's for a cable shred. I cannot wait to check this year's setup!!!

Red Bull Manny Mania!
It's been a minute since I've updated this page, needless to say that summer has been a welcomed distraction. Since my last post I've been on a plane, built a new rail at my cottage, drove back to Ottawa, been to Beach Club twice, jumped off a bridge, and almost got struck by lightning.
One thing I did miss however was the 2012 Red Bull Manny Mania going down in front of Top of the World in Ottawa on Canada Day. So before anymore wakeboard related posts, thought I'd change things up share this little highlight reel that features fellow Top rider Mitch Barette who finished second at this year's Canadian final.

On the road.
Gearing up for a five-day road trip that's going to take me from the Derome's to Toronto. I've been looking forward to this trip ever since I got the invite from Guillaume Paré and crew. The purpose of the trip will be to film an episode for wake2wake.ca's own t.v. show that will be airing on RDS later this summer.
Coming along for the trip will be Joe Ferguson, Yan Roy, Yan Lecomte, Ben Leclair, and Guillaume Paré. We will be meeting up with our G.T.A. bros Jono Boysen, Jordan Lavery, Braden Loi, Drew Austin, and the rest of of the Ranch Wake Park team.
Luckily for me I'm going to be at the Derome's with Charlie Sirois and Kelsey Chiappa on Wednesday. We'll be driving there in style with Charlie's sweet monster van! After that I'll wait up for the wake2wake camper van and we'll take to the 401 west on route to Toronto.
After talking on the phone with Jono the other day, looks as though we have a sweet trip planned out for us. Thursday and Friday we'll be hitting the streets looking for some urban spots to winch. Then Saturday/Sunday we're gonna be camping out at the Ranch for some cable riding. Not before attending another Lipsmask premiere party that's going down in Bobcaygeon (wherein I saw the constellation) Friday night.
Stay tuned to www.wake2wake.ca for the whole story....

#permaction: boat steeze.
I'll be the first to admit that I've grown some what partial to riding cables and rails, I think that's quite obvious by the nature of this blog. However, we must not forget our dudes who continue to kill it in on the wake, I mean it is called WAKEboarding after all. Nevertheless, check out the latest dope edit from the #permacation series that breaks from their already well proven rail shredding ways.

Wake the Line 2012! - the highlights.
Fresh off the press! Check out some of the highlights from Wake the Line in Cologne, Germany. My dude Raph Derome takes it yet again, his second WTL title in three years as well as his third major victory of the season so far.
All I can hope is that there will be more contests of the sort coming to this side of the world...

Wake the Line 2012!
One of the sickest contests of the year is going down this weekend in Cologne, Germany. Wake the Line is one of the premiere wake park contests that has really come to push the sport in recent years. It's a really tough contest because space and time is quite limited as you navigate through an olympic sized pool littered with UNIT Parktech features.
New for this year was the Wake the Line qualifying series wherein they held three separate contests in order for 12 lucky dudes to punch their ticket to the main event this weekend. Check out the highlights from all three qualifiers...
