On the road.

Gearing up for a five-day road trip that's going to take me from the Derome's to Toronto. I've been looking forward to this trip ever since I got the invite from Guillaume Paré and crew. The purpose of the trip will be to film an episode for wake2wake.ca's own t.v. show that will be airing on RDS later this summer.

Coming along for the trip will be Joe Ferguson, Yan Roy, Yan Lecomte, Ben Leclair, and Guillaume Paré. We will be meeting up with our G.T.A. bros Jono Boysen, Jordan Lavery, Braden Loi, Drew Austin, and the rest of of the Ranch Wake Park team.

Luckily for me I'm going to be at the Derome's with Charlie Sirois and Kelsey Chiappa on Wednesday. We'll be driving there in style with Charlie's sweet monster van! After that I'll wait up for the wake2wake camper van and we'll take to the 401 west on route to Toronto.

After talking on the phone with Jono the other day, looks as though we have a sweet trip planned out for us. Thursday and Friday we'll be hitting the streets looking for some urban spots to winch. Then Saturday/Sunday we're gonna be camping out at the Ranch for some cable riding. Not before attending another Lipsmask premiere party that's going down in Bobcaygeon (wherein I saw the constellation) Friday night.

Lipsmack goes off!

On friday night my dudes at Half Cab Productions held it down at Babylon Nightclub in Ottawa, Ont., for the Canadian video release party of Slingshot's Lipsmack! July was crazy fun month for me. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel from Ottawa to Timmins, back to Ottawa to Winnipeg, back to Ottawa to St-Zotique and to Trois-Rivières, and then back again. Confused? Tell me about it. Shit at the end of all that, it was already August!

Here's part two which features myself, Johny Bonney riding at Beach Club and the Derome's, Charles Sirois, Craig McCallion (Slaysh, Halfcab Productions), and my bro Justin Bonney (Billabong) at the Derome's as well. The footage from Trois-Rivières, Québec, is from a winch contest called Wake Dans Rue (Proam Productions) and features Ben Leclerc (Slingshot, Axis, Billabong, Etnies, Dragon), Yan Tibo (CTRL wakeboards, Axis, Go Fast energy drink, von zipper), Alex Savoie (Liquid Force, Sharks, O'neill, Dragon), and Max Cartier (O'Brien wakeboards).

Needless to say that I got lots of riding done, visited some cool places, and met some even cooler people along the way.

Andy's first day!

Headed back up to WOW today for a sunday session with my snowboarder friend Andy Morrish. Andy had never hit rails on a wakeboard, nor as he ever ridden a cable system. Slingshotin' at Wow

First day at Wow/Pop Wake School in St. Zotique (a.k.a. the Derome compound) with Charlie Sirois and Craig McCallion. Great first day to get all the cobwebs out and try out some new Slingshot gear that Craig was able to score after showing them the teaser for What Up. I got to try the Slingshot Reflex 141, and was super stoked on it! Just might have to pick one up myself...

Check out this teaser for the new video Craig McCallion and Half Cab Productions have put together showcasing Ottawa's local wake scene. This is Craig's second full length release after producing Legit the movie in 2009. The production quality on this new video is crazy with everything being in full HD and then some. Justin and I are super stoked to be a part of this project with a chance to showcase some of the footage we got last year during our 4th stint at the CWC together.
