My good dude DJ Acro has just released his first full length studio mixtape. The project was backed by Ottawa's own Raised By Wolves and produced by the man himself Cal Green. The mix features many dope hip hop tracks that have been tickling Acro's ear for the last year or so. Give it a listen, download it, and make sure to bump it LOUD at your next party!
And make sure to catch Acro and his versatility as a DJ this coming Thursday for SKATE NIGHT at Babylon Nightclub as he takes the stage with the likes of WE WERE SHARKS and HEAD DOWN for an old fashioned punk show.
Some days ago, or a month ago already, I travelled to Toronto with Wake2Wake, Guillaume Pare, Joe Ferguson, and Yan Lecomte to film the third episode of their new tv series, "D'une vague a l'autre". The trip was well documented in words and photos by yours truly, but now watch as those words finally come to life.
It was really cool to see the end product of this project. Joe did an amazing job bringing Guillaume's vision to fruition.
Last month during my trip to Toronto with Wake2Wake, photographer Alija Bos was on hand to capture some of the winching madness. Check these bawss (no pun intended) shots of Yan Lecomte and Braden Ioi hitting the humber river spillway!
My trip to Toronto last month was for the purpose of filming the third episode of Wake2wake's "D'une vague à l'autre" television series. That episode will be airing later this month. Until then check out the first episode of the that series as they follow Raph Derome on his way to winning one the year's biggest contests: Wake the Line in Cologne, Germany...

Wake2wake - D'une vague à l'autre - Saison 2012 Épisode 1 from WOLFPACK on Vimeo. Raphael Derome makes his comeback to professional competition after a near career
ending injury to his elbow that kept him on the sidelines for almost all of
2011. In this first episode of Wake to Wake, we follow Raph as he prepares
himself for the upcoming season. We go inside the weight room, travel to his
home cable at WOW Plaza in St-Zotique, and then we’re off to Germany for Wake
the Line, one of the biggest contests on the professional circuit."
The second stop of the Wake Dans Rue urban wakeboard series is going down tomorrow in Sherbrooke, QC! Myself, Craig McCallion (Half Cab Productions), Kelsey Chiappa, and Charles Sirois will be making the trip from Ottawa with Charlie's van.
Regardless of the contest outcome, we are in for a sick weekend of riding, partying, camping, and more riding. On our way back from Sherbrooke we will be stopping in at the Derome's for a cable shred. I cannot wait to check this year's setup!!!
It's been a minute since I've updated this page, needless to say that summer has been a welcomed distraction. Since my last post I've been on a plane, built a new rail at my cottage, drove back to Ottawa, been to Beach Club twice, jumped off a bridge, and almost got struck by lightning.
One thing I did miss however was the 2012 Red Bull Manny Mania going down in front of Top of the World in Ottawa on Canada Day. So before anymore wakeboard related posts, thought I'd change things up share this little highlight reel that features fellow Top rider Mitch Barette who finished second at this year's Canadian final.
